It's tradition that Caveman Joe and Angry Johnny come back home and visit the Hogs in Chicago around the 4th of July. The festivities include barbecues and a day at the race track and sometimes a ball game when the Cubs are in town.

Last year, Ricardo decided that we would all go to a Cubs game. But, securing a ticket to Wrigley Field over the holiday was damn near impossible. So, we did the next best thing: we did a Wrigleyville Pub Crawl during the July 1st Cubs-Milwaukee Brewers game. If you know anything about Wrigleyville you are aware of the fact that there are probably upwards of 50-60 bars within walking distance of the ballpark. There at least a dozen alone on Clark Street north and south of the ballpark. Then there is Halsted Street and Southport Avenue which have little mini districts all to their own. Needless to say we started our crawl out at the beer garden of Justin's on the corner of Roscoe and Southport at around 11:30am. By 10:00pm we were all completely destroyed. Luckily, we were on foot for most of the crawl.

This year, the Cubs are not in town. But, since the Cubs are playing the St. Louis Cardinals in St. Louis, a team with a very colorful alcohol abuse history (Josh Hancock, Daryl Kile, Tony LaRussa, Scott Spiezio, et al). We decided to drink to all of the dead and alive alcoholic Cardinal players by having our second anniversary Pub Crawl during the 4th of July holiday on July 5th.

Our home city of Chicago is alive with many culturally diverse neighborhoods that would be a perfect setting for Pub Crawl II. In fact, the city like many older North American cities is almost perfect for exploring on foot. Neighborhoods like Andersonville, Wrigleyville and Lincoln Park are perfect for Pub Crawls.

We've decided to set up this section of the website to receive Pub Crawl proposals from everyone. Then, the Honorary Hogs will vote on which PC to undertake.
