AVLV Lost Weekend

We're heading out to Las Vegas to attend the AVLV Lost Weekend the first weekend in June (June 5-7).

Just what is the Lost Weekend? Well it used to be the Big Empire Weekend which included the Cocktail Soiree and the Solar System Series of Poker. Big Empire has decided to withdraw their sponsorship of the event. So, the good folks at AVLV have decided to pick up the ball and organize a bunch of activities that all of us can attend.

Caveman Joe, Cyberhog, Detroit Tommy, Philster and Joe's neighbor Steve are taking the Hens to enjoy the sun and fun in Las Vegas. We're staying at the fabulous Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino in downtown Las Vegas. The Golden Nugget is also host to this year's Sporgy!

Events on tap include:

You're invited to meet your fellow AVLVers for a Lost Weekend in Las
Vegas, June 4-7th.

* New event:  Lynn of Classiclasvegas.com will give a free talk on the
history of the Mob in Vegas on Friday 5 June at 3:30 PM.  Location is
the 2nd-floor meeting room at the El Cortez (up the winding staircase
near the check-in desk).  Let Lynn know or reply here if you plan to
attend, so she can arrange for enough chairs.

* Important updates:  The Pan-Galactic Series of Poker has been moved
from Gold Coast to the Palms, and the starting time is now 11:00 AM.
And for those who reserved for the gourmet brunch at Palms Place, the
time is 11:30 AM on Sunday 7 June.
