Component

Explanation

Percent of calculated total score

Food

Represents the variety and quality of food offered.  Does not include things like service,   price, waiting in lines, etc.

14%

Amenities

Things that are important to Hogs. Things like numbers of bars, quality of drinks, entertainment options, quality of cocktail waitresses, pool areas and cabanas, etc.

18%

Rooms

Since the Hogs do not stay in their rooms all that much, this is not a major factor in the overall rating. However, we do not like to stay in smelly cramped, dumpy rooms either. We're classy guys!

9%

Service

Very important. How responsive is the front desk? Does it take forever to get a table? What is the attitude of the staff? Anything that involves handling the Hog psyche is covered under service.

18%

Casino

Is it easy to get a table. Are the limits reasonable so that all Hogs may play. How are the rules for Blackjack? Is it easy to get comps?

18%

Location

Not so important, if you are using your hotel as a base of operations. But if you want to hit the strip, do you need to take a 20 minute cab ride?

9%

Value

Sure everything is great, but it costs an arm and a leg!! We don't mind paying for quality, but within reason!

14%

Overall Rating

Takes everything into account, and gives a final numerical rating to the property. We then tell you what type of experience you can expect to find at this hotel.
