The Venetian tries to be and at times succeeds being the most beautiful and opulent hotel in Las Vegas. Be prepared to be impressed at the quality of work that went into the main areas of the hotel especially in the main foyer of the entrance. Efficient service at the front desk. The valet service on the other hand is overwhelmed, so if you have a car, park it in the Casino Royale parking lot and walk over.  The pool area is large but unimpressive and can be in the sun most of the day. The rooms on the other hand are first class all the way, arguably the finest standard room in Las Vegas. As good as you can get on the strip for Blackjack rules. Great and we mean GREAT restaurants, including Delmonico, Postrio and even Grand Lux, which is as close to a coffee shop that you'll find. Fast food options are limited to two above average food courts (one in the casino, one in the mall). Incredible and we mean INCREDIBLE specimens on the cocktail staff (most of the D-cup variety and not shy). We saw the most beautiful cocktail waitress (a brunette) serving drinks in the Blackjack area; a stunning work of art, she should be a model. This is definitely a "romantic" hotel like the Bellagio, so most of us think it's a little too foo-foo to be attracting the Hog businessmen, some of us like the pampering, especially when you bring the hens. It does however have a great, if not overly large sports book. Great for watching games with great drink service to boot. Get there early for a good seat though. Venetian's score gets a boost from previous editions because they frequently offer deals on their rooms. Sign up for their mailing list and see what we mean. Often times the Venetian is half of what Wynn charges and can be less than an inferior property like Harrahs!
