Las Vegas Strip Hotels  Mandalay Bay
Mandalay Bay http://www.mandalaybay.com/

Circus Circus' entry into the luxury hotel market is predictably a hit or miss proposition. The Polynesian theme is done better at the Mirage, and it suffers from the fact that it is not consistently carried out throughout the hotel. Rooms are large and comfortable with a positively huge bathroom featuring impressive marble finishing and some with incredible views. The large casino is outstanding and is very comfortable to play in, with gorgeous cocktail waitresses (the Venetian still ranks #1, sorry) and nice uniforms. The pool area is  large (some say the best), but it's a real jumble and when we were there featured a lot of screaming brats (word to the wise: Lazy river=kids; so buyer beware!). One down side are obvious and serious glitches in service that have not improved since the opening.   Another downer is the fact that it's not cheap owing to its competition. Finally we've heard reports that they really don't take care of their players too well. Its a CC property in a tux, but it's still a CC property!
