The behemoth. Rumor has it that the farthest room is over a mile and a half from the front desk. The casino is the world's largest at 170,000 square feet (70% larger than Luxor).  MGM in its zest for big has set the example for new hotels in what NOT to do. They have made missteps in other areas too. Catering to families was a mistake, and consequently they've ditched the Emerald City idea, removed Dorothy and Toto and replaced it with the City of Entertainment and Studio 54. Even the lion out front was replaced. The result? A hotel confusing in theme as it is to get around in. Try getting from point A to point B here without walking about a mile.  Don't get us wrong its nice, it just...well...stupid!
