Sunset Station Room 504 posted 9/26/04

It was very difficult to get a place to stay that weekend because of the boxing match and a big baseball match and as it was a last minute trip, I was fortunate to get into Sunset Station.  [I was in room 504 C.Hog.]  It was a nice room with lovely subdued colours.    The bathroom was on the smallish side, with all the usual toiletries, and the shower was nice and powerful. The following morning two television engineers arrived and asked to test my TV and then said that it was broken and that I would have to be moved.  I was fed up, but resigned to moving as I had to watch the Ryder Cup![Whe-e-e-e-e!]  I phoned the Asst. General Manager to whom I had spoken the night before and she told me not to worry as she would make personal arrangements for my move.  Index

Sunset Station Room 1023 posted 9/26/04

She put me in a suite. [1023 C.Hog]  It was beautiful.  It had the
same subdued colours and there the similarities ended.  There were lovely
pictures on the walls.  It had a bigger TV [all the better to watch the
Ryder Cup] and in the armoire there was also a fridge and shelves.  There
was a very tasteful three piece suite, a writing desk, a long coffee table
and chairs and phone in the sitting area as well as a very natural looking
artificial plant---a large 6' palm.  There were two side lamps and I had a
very nice view of downtown and looking to the right, I could see the strip
The bathroom was very big with lots and lots of toiletries, a very powerful
power shower and yet another phone.  The king size bed had a cabinet on each
side with the usual lamps and clock and phone.  It was extremely
comfortable. Index
