Other: Booked this room through hotel broke because hotel did not all Saturday checkins.  The tower rooms at the El Cortez are newly refurbished and this room is in excellent condition. They maybe the best value in town. The rooms did not have security locks on them.  Index

El Cortez Room Vintage 3300 posted 11/13/06

When I first walked into my 3rd floor vintage suite at the El
Cortez, I thought Moe Green, Fredo Corleone, & Johnny Fontaine were
going to waltz in with champagne & showgirls to welcome me to Las
Vegas.  Wow, very old school.  When you walked in, there's a closet on
the right & bathroom on the left.  Then you walk into a living room
area with a big wrap-around couch, window, round coffee table, &
27-inch flatscreen TV.  Behind that is the bedroom area w/king size
bed, comfy chair, dresser, another window, etc.   Then there's a small
room on the left where there's a writing desk & another closet with an
iron & ironing board.  I was in room 3300 & I had a view of Mamacita's
Cuban & Mexican restaraunt accross the street.  Also had a view of the
big neon sign that says "GAMBLING" w/the arrow pointing to the casion
enterance on Fremont.  That sign is directly outside the bedroom
