Amenities: a gross 1950's refrigerator, a chocolate brown scum-infested soaking tub with mildewed grout and cracked tiles, seating area with patio furniture. View: the windows look out onto a corridor or other windows. Other: This property came close to ruining our entire vacation, but I figured before putting it out of my mind, I needed to warn others.  The place is rated 4-stars and we got the room for $49.  Too good to be true... yes!  I should have been clued in by the lack of room pictures anywhere on the net.  I also could find very little written about it. The service was supposed to be great.  We arrived early and were told we would have to wait as no rooms were clean.  This despite a relatively empty parking area.  We were told by a gruff, rude woman that rooms were not preassigned, and that it was a first-come basis. We waited for three hours for a room while dozens of others checked in.  Complaining just got strange looks between the staff?  When we finally got our rooms they were filthy and outdated. We had booked our rooms through a broker, so there was no way to leave and get our money back.  We decided to suck it up.  Now on to the noise problem.  This place advertises relaxing, but it wasn't even close.  We had groundskeepers outside our window at 6:40am loudly trimming bushes and lawn mowing.  I called the manager to complain, voicemail, no response. One of our party called to complain about her room.  She was moved to a remodeled room, significantly nicer than what we had.  Nevertheless, it was still only the quality of a Holiday Inn.  We figured that because we had purchased the rooms from a broker, they made us wait for the old rooms. We should have asked to move also, as the rooms were substandard.  They had dust and crumbs along the baseboards and under the cushions, the carpet and sofa cushions were stained, linens had holes, air conditioning units old and falling out of wall, etc. etc.  There was lots of DNA and even personal articles left from previous guests.  They call this place a "resort" which is a hidden code for "budget motel."  Their advertising is very misleading.  The lobby and grounds are nice, but the rooms that have not been updated are horrible.  Beware.
