Treasure Island
Room 3616
36th (top) floor think was 3616...well under the "A" in island
anyway. Two full beds (at least before renovation) one to sleep in and one
to play in. 12 ft. ceilings due to roof AC but the quietest room I've had
in Vegas. Very large windows overlooking the south strip wow !! and
the pool. I frequently looked out of this window....and mooned the pool
area!! Index
Treasure Island
Room
29032
King Non Smoking.
Negative side...This room is located ONE room from the very end of the
hallway. You can not view the Pirate Battle from your window. Plus side..
It has a breathtaking view of the strip and overlooks the pool. The room
faces the Mirage and the view at night was just great! Index
Treasure Island
Room 35027
Room
#35027, which is a corner room in the South Tower. It had a view
overlooking the Pirate Battle and North Strip on the one side, and the
Venetian straight ahead. Fabulous! The rooms are just beautiful.
They are done in peach and beige. There is a writing desk with a phone,
with a data port. There are two easy chairs and a table with a floor
lamp. The windows were covered in lovely thick drapes in a
contrasting pattern and over top the bed is a valance with recessed
lighting, with matching tie back drapes on both sides. The bathroom
was big, all marble, with all the amenities, including oatmeal soap and a
hairdryer. The closet was big and contained a safe. There are
pictures in my Treasure Island Album.

Treasure Island Room
31018 I had stayed at the
Mirage on my last trip. The room is identical, down to the tiles in the
bathroom. The size is the same. I stayed in room 31018. At check in, I had
requested a high floor with a south view, and man did I get it. I was able
to see straight down the strip to Mandalay Bay. When the fountain show at
Bellagio went off, I could see the top of it. This was a GREAT room with a
GREAT view. I was very impressed. I had a blocked view of the Mirage
volcano, but that did not bother me since I was able to see this from my
room at the Mirage. I had some minor problems with the room and they did
not affect my stay that much. There was some garbage from the previous
hotel guest left in the desk drawer. The lights in the closet did not shut
off when the doors closed. And the tub drained very slowly. I called
housekeeping and they took care of these problems right away. I had
requested an iron and ironing board at 6:30 and it was at the room in less
than 10 minutes. I had requested a humidifier be sent to the room and it
showed up quickly as well. Folks, save your money if you are thinking
about staying at the Mirage and stay here. I wish I had. The service, room
and food are the same as at The Mirage. My only complaint was no
poker room, but the quick tram next door to the Mirage was used often. Index

12084 posted 7/30/01 The
room faced the Fashion Show Mall construction site. The room itself was
designed for wheelchair patrons. I thought it odd that the hotel would put
a lone healthy two-legged 34-year old in a handicap-ready room, but heck,
it meant not waiting, and I was hip to that. For those that want to know,
the washroom featured a shower instead of a tub and the toilet and the
shower had support bars on the facing walls. I neither asked for nor did I
receive an upgrade. I paid $59 per night as per an internet special (that
works out to $101 in Canadian based on the current exchange rate).
The room featured a complimentary in-room safe (in the closet) and a hair
dryer and illuminated makeup mirror (in the bathroom). My room had two
queens sized beds. It was a non-smoking room (on a non-smoking floor). And
a high speed internet connection plug was installed on the table between
the two beds. Finally, the room was relatively close to the elevators.
Everything was in a variation of brown. Index

Agency: We booked our room via Treasure Island web site.
Amenities: Large bath room, with a two queen beds, tasteful decor, tv,
safe, small table with 2 chairs.
View: Top floor of this fine hotel looking straight out at the Venetian
Hotel and you can also view the Pirate Battle below this room
number.
Other: This room is very quiet with high celing and a short walk to the
casino. I hate long walks like some of the hotels in Las Vegas so this is
a big plus with me. Index

Arrived
at Treasure Island at about 11:30 a.m. went straight to check
in. We didn't try the $20 trick, but simply told them it
was our 15th anniversary and ended up with room 31034, strip
view, overlooking the Mirage volcano and a simply awesome view
of everything else. The also gave us a bottle of champagne
and told us to just call for it whenever we wanted it. Index

Recommend: Yes
Agency: I booked it for free using a website.
Amenities: Oatmeal smelling soap, lotion, hair shampoo,
ashtrays, matches, 1 bed, 25" television, some magazines.
the bathtub/shower actually was tiled as opposed to the usual
plastic kind found at most hotels. I'd be willing to pay
$59 a night for this room, but no more than that.
View: The view was awesome! I was on the 34th floor and I
had two different windows. I could view the Venetian from
one window and from the other window, I could see/hear the
Mirage Volcano and see part of the Bellagio fountains. I
think I could see every hotel except the Tropicana from my
room. Best view I've ever had and it was great because it
was a corner room at the end of the hall.
Other: If I was promised that same room for $59 a night, I'd
keep going back to the Treasure Island. The hotel was very quiet
and check in was a breeze. Even though I was in a smoking
room, I could not tell it had been smoked in. I
didn't care much for their slot machines because they didn't
have many of those wacky nickel machines, but they did have a
Krispy Kreme doughnut store downstairs, which made up for having
a line at the coffee shop. Index

checkout on Tue Nov. 26 Booked through Treasure Island website
(Tower Suite Deals) plus AAA 10% discount
View: Website stated all Tower Suites had views of Pirate
Battle, which was true, but you really couldn't see anything
except the explosions. Everything was blocked by the trees and
back of ship. Otherwise view of construction site across street,
and somewhat of north strip. Amenities: Suite looks just like
the picture on Treasure Island website. TV is a 32 inch, Bose
stereo sounds awesome. Bed seemed comfortable, as were the couch
and chairs. Refridge never really got cold. 2 Bathrooms all done
in marble. Men's - marble shower with seat and poor water
pressure, toilet, large sink area with hair dryer, closet with
free safe to use. Women's - Deep Jacuzzi tub ( might be cramped
for 2 ) surrounded by mirrors, another large sink area with
built in makeup mirror and hair dryer, and a larger walk in
closet with ironing board and iron. The bathrooms had everything
you could need - shampoo, conditioner, lotion, all in large
bottles, shaving cream, razors, toothbrush kit with toothbrush
and toothpaste, vanity kit with q-tips, cotton balls, etc., as
well as a sewing kit. A nice terrycloth robe is also provided in
the women's closet. Room was next to ice machine and elevators,
but never heard any noise outside. Nice location from inside,
but view on outside was lacking. I would book the room again for
a strip location, but never play in the casino since all the BJ
tables had the auto shufflers and bad rules and 10.00 min.
during weekdays. I don't mind the minimums, since I usually play
that, but I prefer downtown's rules and gambling atmosphere. Index

the train coming each time it went through town. I tipped the maid at
first
but since she didn't clean the room except to make the bed and give us
fresh
towels (no vacuum or cleaning the bathroom trash) I stopped. You could
hear
all the hallway noise and the people next door must have thought the
connecting door was a closet because they tried to open the door a few
times. (a door behind a door is not a closet) Index
