Paris
Room 1825P
Visited Paris on 2/20 and loved it. Unique room thing: We were in room 1825P (which is right next door to 1825) "P" stands for panoramic view. These are the corner rooms with windows on 2 sides of the room. Ours was west (Bellagio) and south strip. King bed, all the bathroom amenities, desk area. Highly recommended!  Very good access to the casino, fast elevators. Only complication is that elevators go to certain floors which is not uncommon but is confusing in an altered state. By the way, for some reason they were running a special for $39 a night but I did pay $59 for the upgraded view and nothing extra for the "P" room. Kind of blundered into it. Index

Paris Room 2001

King size/smoking room - #2001 (2nd room off of the elevator, ice and vending machines right across the hall).  Room was very nicely decorated.  The bathroom had a separate tub/enclosed shower, basic shampoo & conditioner in bathroom, 2 bottles of water (with a price tag of something like $3.99 if opened), very large, soft fluffy towels, blow drier and magnified (2 sided) make-up mirror attached to the wall.  There was also an iron and in-room safe.  And THE VIEW!!!  Look straight out the window and there was a perfect view of the Bellagio fountains sided by the Eiffel Tower; look below and it was a perfect view of the pool (Randy liked this view better than the fountains.).  Index

Paris Room 1974P
A one bedroom suite. Room 1974 is an adjoining second bedroom. I did not have access to it. The room is right off of the elevator lobby and has a double door entrance. Walking in, there is a large marble entrance way. On your left is a door to one of the two full  bathrooms. In front of you is a full size dining room table with a huge chandelier over it. Across from the table is a wet bar with fridge. A couch, two large chairs and an armoire with TV completes the living room. The view from the floor to ceiling windows is of the pool, the Bellagio fountains and the "Eiffel Tower". The bedroom contains another TV that goes up and down from a hidden area when the power button is pushed. The bed is a king and the room has a closet with a safe. Off of the bedroom is the master bath which is marble and contains a Jacuzzi, make up table etc. The master bath has a separate room with toilet, bidet, and telephone. Connecting to the master bath is the second bath which also connects to the suite entrance way. The second bath is marble also and has a stall shower. The suite was more than adequate size although I have no idea of the exact dimensions. If anyone has any specific questions about the room or the Paris in general (restaurants, gambling etc) just put them on the ng. Index

Paris Room 1523

Stayed at the Paris in room 1523. It was fantastic ! The room was great; especially the bath. Separate shower and tub, marble floor and blow dryer built in (nice one). The view was wonderful. You look out the window and there is the Eiffel Tower and pool. You could see the strip and watch the fountain show at the Belagio. It is better than reported ! Index

Paris Room 2512

This was our first stay here and we enjoyed it. Wonderful location, check in (less than 5 min at 11:30am),Valet service was prompt.
We had room 2512, with a view of the mountains-airport (nada). The room was a bit smaller than MB, but just as nice with all the same
amenities, bath, but with a desk and safe. Only cheesy thing was two blue bottles of water in the bath, that if used were 3 or 4 dollars, still
can't figure that one out. Over all it was a great place to stay, with
easy access to everything. Index

Paris Room 2413 Posted 6/18/01

We had requested a non-smoking king, but were told that if we wanted immediate access all they had available was a non-smoking king on the 9th floor (where we said previously) or two queens on the 24th. (My host had already gave me an "upgraded" room, which meant a strip view. All other views are of garage tops. I made a half-hearted attempt to ask for an upgrade, because of all the talk on this NG, but was told that he would have to give me rack rates on a suite of up to $365 a night, and said "you aren't going to be spending that much time is your room anyway, and taking a free room would be much smarter (as if he had to twist my arm.) We took 2413 which had a fantastic view of Bellagio Lake, the Eiffel Tower, and overlooked the pool. The room was larger than we had recalled. There was an armoire (sp) with a TV, two closets, an in room safe (always a nice touch for me). Also a desk, a little table and two large chairs. The bath had separate shower stall and tub, but the tub was not the deep soaking kind. Only one sink, which is unfortunate. Marble floors. All the usual amenities with a powerful hair dryer. The wife lamented the absence of anywhere to put on her makeup sitting down (women!). Index

Paris Room: 3296P Posted 8/18/01
Day:             Sunday Monday
Rate:            $79
Recommend:       Yes
Agency: Booked the $79/night American Express package thru the Paris website. Amenities: This room is a "Nice Suite".  That's Nice as in Nice, France.  It had a giant living room and dining room, with a wet bar and separate bathroom.  There was a stainless steel ice bucket which I loved - ice stayed cold longer.  There were bars of soap everywhere you turned, and bottles of goo included shampoo, conditioner, lotion, 'bath gel'.  In the master bath, there was a nice stacking jar that had cotton balls and Q tips. In one of the mini-bar drawers, there was a mother lode of extra goo bottles.  At least 75 extras.  Also at the mini bar, there were 2 bottles of Paris water.  $4.50 each. On second night of stay, there was turn-down service and pillow-chocolates. Master bath had separate shower (horrible water pressure, and the knob came off in my hand) enclosure, and a jacuzzi tub (not working during my stay).  The WC portion of the bathroom contained a bidet, with which I engaged in an episode worthy of a Laurel and Hardy short ('hmm, i wonder what THIS knob does...?') The room had too many decorative touches to mention but suffice to say it was more than worth the $79.  The rack-rate card on the back of the door indicated a rack rate of $4250 per day!! View: The view was of Bellagio lake/fountains.  Also a decent view of Monte Carlo.  Room faced southwest, so couldn't really see upward toward Caesar's.  Other: This upgrade made my trip very special, and I think I just lucked into it because I checked in rather late at night, and they knew they weren't going to sell the room otherwise.  I was very nice and unassuming to my checker inner, which seems to work very well.  I seem to be getting upgraded all the time these days except when I check in early.  The hotel was nice and I obviously recommend a gigantic suite for $79 to anyone.  I had a few complaints -- the bathroom stuff irritated me.  Why can we send a man to the moon but not get decent water pressure into our hotels?   Also, I didn't get my room made up without calling and specifically requesting service.  Apparently, if you leave your room after 12 noon, maid service is not automatic.  No es bueno.   Also, room service dishes (just MINE, not those of my neighbors) remained in the hallway for almost a whole day.  Did not eat anywhere except for room service (mediocre). Casino was pretty fun but not as lucky for me as it usually is. Index

Paris Room: 2825P Posted 2/20/02

Stayed at Paris, got a corner room with a view of the Tower and Bellagio fountains just for asking. The view was spectacular, and we enjoyed the water show from our room. The music is loud though, so for someone who likes to retire early, I wouldn't recommend this side as they do it every fifteen minutes until midnight. For us it was great, room 2825P. I am not sure if the P meant petite suite or what. The room was large, very nice and marble tub, separate shower. We arrived on a Saturday morning, and the place was very busy. Wait for checking in was only about ten minutes though. Were impressed with the inside, very beautiful! Index

Paris Room: 2649P Posted 4/3/02

The first thing you should know is that the airport shuttles DO NOT STOP at the Paris' front lobby!  We were surprised to be dropped off at a side ("North") entrance to the casino at about 11 am without any hotel personnel to assist, and with no luggage carts in sight. We dragged our own 3 bags across the entire casino to the registration desk, bumpety-bumping our way over the cobblestone pathway. Asked for, but not given, a "-98P" room. I politely remarked to the desk clerk that some friends of mine just stayed there and raved about their room and could I possibly have it or one like it? She asked what they said was so good about it, and when I said "the view", she said rooms with a view are $20 more per night. "Oh," I said. She then followed with: You're in room 2649P. Now you'll be able to tell them about YOUR room. Well, I thought this was a good thing, and that maybe I misjudged her. However, even though it was a corner room, it specifically precluded any view of the Bellagio except for one small extreme-left-side sliver of the "lake" out front. One window looked directly at the Aladdin's roof, with the Paris Balloon sign to its right, and the other window down a side street (forget the name) where the Key Largo Casino is located. I guess the clerk was being sarcastic after all(?). The room itself was nice, though. A king bed, an armoire with a 25" TV. A lighted closet on each side of the TV. A clock/radio, a bedside phone and one on a desk in a little alcove that had a desk, lamp and a full-size closet behind it with a set-your-own combination safe on the top shelf. The bathroom was really nice with a tub (kinda shallow) and a marble shower stall with door (GREAT water pressure!) Toilet was not set aside. Marble floor and countertop with a single sink. Toiletries were mouthwash, shampoo, lotion, oatmeal soap in a little blue tin. No shine cloth, no shower cap and no sewing kit. Two bottles of Paris-brand water in blue bottles which I knew enough not to open. There was a two-bulb, shaded light sconce on each side of the mirror which gave adequate, but not great light to shave by. One of the bulbs was out, so I laid it next to a note requesting a replacement and more bath towels. I got the towels, but a replacement bulb was not left, so I took one out of the desk lamp. There was also a magnifier mirror attached to the wall on an extension arm.   Index

Paris Room: 1144 posted 8/02

Wednesday
Rate:            $79 for nights beyond first free night
Agency: Hotel promotion letter, one free night with a stay. Have been there before and have their player card.
Amenities: king bed, tiny sofa/chair, coffee table, desk, armoire  with side closets, safe, ironing board and iron.  Small sink with no counter space in bathroom.  No tub, only large shower stall for handicap accessible.
View: primarily parking garages and rooftops.  a few mountains way in distance. very dismal and depressing.
Other: I checked in around 3:30 p.m.  When I made my reservation I had inquired about paying upgrade fee for Bellagio view room and was told I was already assigned a "premier" room for my comped night.  When I saw the room and returned to check in they said they were completely full and would try to move me the next day, which they did - again a not so great view.  This room was also adjacent to all service staff rooms and elevators and way at the end of the hall Index

Paris Room: 1853 posted 8/8/02

Paris Room 2974 posted 9/9/02

An ungraded non-smoking room not far from the elevators. Right next to Room 2974P. Has a view of the Bellagio fountains, but you have to crane your neck a little because it is so far from the street. Usual amenities in the bathroom. Standard tub with separate shower enclosure. No vanity in the bath, which has a single sink. Very acceptable but not outstanding in any way.King-sized bed which practically filled the room, leaving little room to walk between the bed and the amoir (sp) which housed the TV and two doors for clothes, as well as an ironing board and an in-room safe.  Index

Paris Room: 701P posted 12/28/02
Day:  Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday
Dates: Nov. 10-13,2002
Rate: Passport to Paris...$69
Agency: Phone...Hotel Res.     Upgrade at check-in
Amenities: same as 1974P described above...this is a Calais Suite...quoted rack rate of $825
View: dead-center 4 floors over pool and Eiffel Tower
Other: Ice and vending directly across hall was handy and posed no noise problems...excellent access to elevators...we received this suite when I offered the desk clerk a $50 donation to the "front desk clerks betterment fund"....I'm sure this room was on a temporary "out-of-service list" as it had a couple deficiencies which we gladly overlooked...we were just in the right place at the right time. Paris, Room 598: posted 4/7/03

Non-smoking. Comped Friday, "125.00" on Saturday (later comped):

Amenities---about the same as Harrah's except for a Power-Mack hairdryer. Had the rip-off $4.95 bottled water. No Server-Bar.  Again, nothing special. Slightly larger than Harrah's with a separate shower stall and longer tub. Had a view of Bellagio fountains if you craned your neck a little. Again, not impressed. And on the whole----WAY over-priced!! Index

Paris, Room 1707: posted 7/28/03

Rate:            $69
Recommend:       Yes
Remote Name:     205.188.209.141
Agency: hotel promotion through casino
Amenities: two double beds, tub, shower, hair dryer, good towel supply, iron and ironing board, safe,
View: looked over the pool, Eiffel tower and partial Bellagio view.
Other: Good room, probably time to replace the bedspreads, getting quite worn.  They can use the money I left!
Do use check in at airport while you wait for luggage.  It was a breeze and lines at hotel were horrendous on Sunday.  Shuttle is cheap but we had a long wait and since it made several stops we were sorry we did not take a taxi for the few extra dollars! Index
