Amenities: Elevator that gives off gaseous smells with no one on board.  TV that maybe gets two channels if you speak Spanish.  Relatively fire safe cinderblock walls.

This is a downtown Hotel around the corner from the Nugget.  While events in Las Vegas had most of the city "sold out" and the ones that weren't sold out selling in the $400 a night range, rooms were available at Hotel Nevada for $64 a night.

This is the ultimate flea bag.  This hotel looked like the permanent home to the semi-homeless.  If you've got to get a cheap room downtown when everyone else has raised rates through the roof and your aren't particularly offended by generally un-cataloged bacteria, this may be the option for you.  If you have been trying to get your wife to agree to a divorce, this very well may do the trick.
