Las Vegas Hilton North Tower Room 24-119 Posted 10/15/01

North Tower room 24-119 offers a view of a golf course and in the distance, Glitter Gulch. It was a nicely appointed room with good quality furnishings and tile work. Nice granite counter that doubles as a desk along the wide window. Electronic curtains were a nice touch. The gray granite was used as accents in the foyer as well as the smallish yet nice bathroom. The usual suspects as far as toiletries were concerned (soap, shampoo, conditioner, mouthwash, etc) as well as a hair dryer. A large closet with a dual sliding door revealed an iron and ironing board. The safe was located under the faux desk/counter. In the middle of the room was a nice king sized bed with only three weakly filled pillows meant that we needed to make a quick call to room service. (Francine and I usually request two doubles, just for the extra pillows and for the times I come in too late, or too drunk). Within minutes we had three extra pillows! Even though it was a smoking room, I detected no overpowering odors.  Index

Smoking:         Yes
Day:             Sunday Monday
Dates:           8/31-9/1
Rate:            68.00
Recommend:       Yes
Agency: I booked through hotels.com
Amenities: They had the regular stuff in terms of soap and shampoo. The toiler/bathtub was separated from the sink where you wash your hands.  Double beds.  A granite counter was right across the window, so that was nice as you could work and look out at your window at the same time.  The safe is located beneath the granite counter.  The television seemed to be 25" or 27" and I thought that was a nice touch as most vegas hotel tvs are smaller. I noticed there was a keyboard on top of the tv, so I am going to assume that you can access the internet using the television for a fee per day, but I do not know the fee.  The room looked like it had been renovated recently as it was clean and not rundown.
View: Nice view from the 26th floor overlooking the golf course and the rest of the eastern part of the valley.  It was a nice view, since I was on the 26th floor, but it is much nicer to see the vegas skyline as opposed to the city and mountains.  Other: The casino is okay, but they had $10 minimums all day/night and that was a downer as I had to play elsewhere.  One thing that is deceptive is that there is a star trek themed area where there are a ton more slots than you think when you first walk in.

Las Vegas Hilton Room: 2674 2675 posted 10/19/04

The rooms were nice comfortable standard LVH rooms in the East Tower
with a view to the North (I think 2675 and 2674).  Bathroom had an
oversize tub and a second vanity sink outside the bathroom across from
the closet.  Although the two rooms we had were directly outside the
elevators, we never had any problems with noise outside the room. Index

Las Vegas Hilton Room 28-131 posted 5/22/05

It was a connector room to a suite. A very nice room, but on the far end from the elevator. It overlooked the golf course and the mountains behind it. A nice peaceful view, for when you want to wind down. It was a bit outdated, but nice nonetheless. Index

Las Vegas Hilton Room 28-131 posted 6/6/05

28-131 is in the North Tower. The North Tower is great as far as the
elevator, as it empties out very near the Star Trek Casino, and the
monorail. My only problem with our particular room location is that it
was located at the VERY end of the tower at the farthest ditance form
the elevator. Other than that location it was perfect.

The room itself was a smoking room. The furniture was wood, and nice
looking. Not antique, but trying to give that illusion, in my opinion.
I would guess the square footage to be around 300 square feet. Not
large, but not too cramped.

The bed was a king size, and was comfortable. I have a bad back, and
believe me, I know what uncomfortable is. Linens were ok; not the
cheapest, but not the best either.

The room had an ironing board and iron, safe, shampoo and conditioner,
along with bottled bath soap as well as bar soap. Plenty of towels.

As I mentioned before, the view was awesome and peaceful with the hills
and valley. Sunrise was great. Much better than a parking garage (sorry
Don..I had to say it!   :) ).

The biggest disapointment was the bathroom. It was an all in one
bathroom, meaning the sink and counter space was in with the bath tub
and the toilet. Though I'll be celebrating my 26th anniversary next
week, I still don't enjoy taking a poop with my wife standing there
brushing her teeth, and I'm sure it's not her favorite thing either!
LOL

On our last trip, we were in the same tower (North), but on the 21st
floor. I don't remember the room number. I only mention this because on
that trip our bathroom had a separate sink counter area from the toity,
so I know that exists at the LVH.

My three nights were comped through a mail offer we received after our
trip over Christmas. When I called to make reservations, he asked if
I've stayed with them before, and asked me for my name. When I told
him, he varified that I was from Oregon, then asked me if I wanted to
use my free room offer. I was impressed that I was in the computer with
the offer and not just part of a bulk mailing. He gave me a
confirmation number and I asked him if he needed a credit card to hold
the room. He said no, you're all set, and we'll see you in May. Very
courteous.

On check-in I tried the 20 dollar trick and the guy pretended to
upgrade me, but as Doc pointed out, I think he screwed me out of 20
bucks. Oh well, live and learn.

I do like the LVH and think their service is great, and their comp
policy seems pretty good too. I'm definately not a high roller, but
they treated me well, took 3 meals and a gift shop purchase (a lighter
that I smuggled back on the plane) off of my bill, which made it zero.
They also gave me $43 cash back.

LVA Coupon $45 June thurs and Fri

nonsmoking king

Great strip view

Large room, older decor.  Great windows with large desk, office chair,
electric curtains, a safe and a lot of outlets.

There is a switch by the door that turns on a light over the bed.
Switches for the tub-toilet area are outside the door in the
vanity-sink area.  Easy to get into trouble with the wife.

Toiletries include large bars of soap and shower caps.

Close to elevators.  Good access to the spa, pool, casino, and
monorail.  Long walk to the parking garage.

We have stayed in nicer rooms here, but like the center tower location.

Las Vegas Hilton  Room  11-121 posted 8/12/06

Everything about the Hilton was very nice. We used the “August Sizzle”
promotion, which meant we paid $59/$79/$79 for a Thr/Fri/Sat. When we
got to our room (11-121, North Tower) we were surprised to see that we
had been upgraded to a suite. While I’m standing in amazement,
contemplating the deal we were handed, my wife asked, “Where’s the bed?”
This suite happened to be a hospitality suite—with a Murphy bed tucked
into one wall. The bed was fine and on Sunday morning, we were sad to
leave our huge room.
